Is Your Child Disengaging? A Few Things to Think About

Steps for eliminating Students' non-contingent disengagement
 Assess:

    Evaluate the degree to which the child takes responsibility to actively maintain engaged.
    Evaluate the degree to which the student withdraws from engagement with you, without there being any need for disengagement and without withdrawal being consensual.
    Evaluate how you respond to the Student's non-contingent withdrawal.
    Explore any unproductive beliefs you may unwittingly have, related to cutting off the Student's escape routes for non-contingent disengagement

But in this video, we see a lovely young lady that I came to know when she was very little over 10 years ago, as an RDI consultant to her family ...and today as a 16 year old, look how far she has come.
